President sacks chief of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has dismissed Yehor Bozhok as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

The decree to that effect, No. 73/2019, has been published on the website of the head of state.

Bozhok is a graduate of the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He is a career diplomat. Since 2002, he occupied various positions within the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

On September 13, 2017, Poroshenko signed a decree appointing Bozhok head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
