United States allocates USD 350 mln to support Armed Forces of Ukraine

The United States in 2019 allocated USD 350 million in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and intends to continue the Sea Breeze international exercises.

Senior Defense Official and Defense Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine Colonel Thomas Wofford said this in Mariupol on March 6, according to the website of the Mariupol City Council.

“This year we allocated USD 350 million in support of the Armed Forces. Now we want to pay more attention to the naval forces. We will also continue the annual joint military exercises Sea Breeze,” he said, stressing that the United States actively supports Ukraine in security issues.

As reported, on March 6, the representatives of the Office of the Defense Attache at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine visited Mariupol. They met with representatives of city and regional councils and discussed issues of defense and further cooperation.
