U.S. will continue to support Ukraine's security reforms - Hale

The United States will support Ukraine's security reforms and anti-corruption initiatives, including the creation of the High Anti-Corruption Court, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale has said.

He said this at a meeting with government officials in Kyiv on Wednesday, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine wrote on its Twitter account.

"Under Secretary Hale: America is committed to supporting Ukraine's security, defense & civilian reforms. These reforms include anti-corruption initiatives, such as the establishment of the High Anti-Corruption Court," the embassy reported.

Hale arrived in Kyiv on March 5. He intends to meet with senior Ukrainian officials, discuss the upcoming elections, anti-corruption measures and human rights issues with officials and civil society leaders. On March 7, Hale will hold a press conference on the results of his visit to Ukraine and current relations between Ukraine and the United States.
