Justin Trudeau honors Heavenly Hundred Heroes

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau honored the memory of the fallen Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.

“Five years ago, brave Euromaidan protestors were killed in Ukraine as they sought a brighter future for their country. Today, we remember the Heavenly Hundred and honour the sacrifices they made in the pursuit of democracy,” Trudeau wrote on Twitter on February 21 on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the beginning of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

He added that “Canada will always support the people of Ukraine.”
