Klimkin at Warsaw conference urges to counter Russia’s cyber threats

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin called for close cooperation to counter the challenges and hybrid threats that Russia creates for the whole world.

The minister said this while speaking at a conference on Peace and Security in the Middle East held in Warsaw, Poland, on Thursday, February 14, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported.

At the same conference, U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said in comments to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty that the United States wants a "new era of cooperation” to confront the challenges faced by countries in the Middle East.

"We want to bring together countries with an interest in stability to share their different views and break out of traditional thinking," Pompeo said.

Poland and the United States co-organized a two-day international conference on the Middle East. The conference was attended by Polish President Andrzej Duda, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and foreign ministers from about 30 countries around the world, including Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
