EU has allocated almost €300 mln for Ukraine’s development over past five years

The European Union has allocated almost €300 million for humanitarian projects, restoration and development of Ukraine over the past five years.

“The European Union has allocated almost EUR 300 million – EUR 280 million to be precise - for humanitarian projects, restoration and development of Ukraine over the past five years,” Head of the Support Group for Ukraine in the European Commission Peter Wagner said at a briefing in Mariupol on January 29.

Hromadske TV Donbas published the video of the briefing on Facebook.

He recalled that the European Union had established the Support Group for Ukraine almost five years ago to help Ukraine. “A lot of projects are already being implemented in this region, and our goal is to find out what else we can do,” Wagner stressed.

Ukraine remains on the agenda of the European Union, "both in our bilateral contacts and in the context of our international activities and multilateral contacts," he noted.
