Tymoshenko submits documents to CEC

Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the Batkivshchyna All-Ukrainian Association, has submitted documents to the Central Election Commission to register as a candidate for the post of Ukraine’s president.

The commission’s press service told this to Ukrinform.

As reported, on January 22, Batkivshchyna nominated its leader Yulia Tymoshenko as a candidate for the post of Ukraine's president.

As of January 22, the CEC registered 13 candidates for the post of president: Ihor Shevchenko, Serhiy Kaplin, Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, Vitaliy Skotsyk, Andriy Sadovyi, Vitaliy Kupriy, Yevhen Murayev, Anatoliy Hrytsenko, Hennadiy Balashov, Olha Bohomolets, Oleksandr Shevchenko, Roman Nasirov, and Yuriy Boiko.

The presidential elections in Ukraine are scheduled for March 31, 2019. The election campaign began on December 31, 2018.
