Foreign ministers Ukraine, Baltic States and Poland cut short their visit to Mariupol

The foreign ministers of Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland have cut short their visit to the town of Mariupol in eastern Ukraine because of adverse weather conditions.

"We tried to fly to Mariupol despite the adverse weather conditions. The crew decided to return. I wanted to show our partners the empty port of Mariupol, the consequences of the Russian economic blockade of the Azov Sea region. We will contact those, who were waiting for us in Mariupol, via videoconferencing,” Ukrainian foreign minister Pavlo Klimkin tweeted.

As reported, Ukrainian foreign minister Pavlo Klimkin, Lithuanian foreign minister Linas Linkevičius, Latvian foreign minister Edgars Rinkēvičs, Estonian foreign minister Sven Mikser and Polish foreign minister Jacek Czaputowicz left for Mariupol in the morning.
