Karandiy becomes new deputy education minister

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Vadym Karandiy, who previously headed Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment, as new deputy economic and science minister.

The relevant decision was made during a government meeting on January 10, according to the press service of the Education and Science Ministry.

"At the Education and Science Ministry, Vadym Karandiy will be responsible for secondary education, including the implementation of the New Ukrainian School reform. He has many years’ experience in this field - he worked as a school teacher, held various positions at education departments of Kyiv region, as well as headed the State Enterprise Inforesurs and the Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment,” reads the report.

The Education and Science Ministry also reminded that earlier the government appointed Pavlo Hobsey as first deputy education and science minister and Svitlana Danylenko as deputy education and science minister.
