Economy, education, defense: Groysman outlines government’s priorities for 2019

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman thanked Ukrainian MPs for the support of the Cabinet of Ministers and joint legislative initiatives approved in 2018.

He said this at the Government Question Hour meeting held in the Verkhovna Rada on December 21, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"This is the last plenary week this year and I would like to thank you for the support of the government, for the support of joint legislative initiatives. I understand that the year 2018 was quite difficult in terms of the legislative process, but the fact that we are entering the new 2019 year with the timely adopted state budget and the approved government's action program means that we can confidently look ahead to the upcoming year and continue the necessary changes,” Groysman said.

He also added that the priorities of the government remain unchanged. In particular, it concerns the development of the national economy, the strengthening of security and defense, ensuring financial stability, improving public administration in Ukraine, continuing the reforms of healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
