President demands Foreign Ministry complete inventory of treaties with Russia

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has demanded that the Foreign Ministry complete work on the inventory of treaties with Russia.

He said this in a statement on the occasion of signing the law on the termination of the treaty on friendship with Russia, which was published on the Facebook page of the head of state.

"I demand that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs complete work on the inventory of the legal framework with the Russian Federation," the president said.

According to him, Ukraine will continue to "make conclusions about the usefulness of certain agreements."

On December 10, Poroshenko signed the law terminating the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, which was adopted by parliament on December 6.

The law states that the validity of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, which was signed in Kyiv on May 31, 1997 and ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on January 14, 1998, will be terminated on April 1, 2019.
