Foreign Ministry: Ukraine willing to further improve relations with Hungary

The Ukrainian side is willing to further improve relations with Hungary and intensify interregional cooperation.

"Pavlo Klimkin informed his Hungarian counterpart about Russia’s act of aggression against Ukraine in the Kerch Strait and called on official Budapest to join the international community’s efforts to deter the Russian aggressor. The ministers also agreed to intensify interregional cooperation and speed up the implementation of joint border infrastructure projects," the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reports following the meeting of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin with Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó on the sidelines of the 25th OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Milan.

The issue of streamlining the provision of Hungarian aid for the development of Zakarpattia region was discussed during the meeting.

Péter Szijjártó was also informed about the steps taken by the Ukrainian side in the implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Education.”
