Kent, Klimkin discuss security in Ukraine

U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs George Kent and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin have discussed the strengthening of Ukraine's security after the latest act of Russian aggression, the Embassy of the United States in Ukraine has reported on Twitter.

"A week after Russia's attack on Ukrainian vessels in the Black Sea, DAS Kent was in Kyiv to hold discussions with FM Pavlo Klimkin on strengthening Ukraine's security and underlining U.S. support for Ukraine during this critical time," the report reads.

Earlier, the embassy said it was pleased to welcome its former colleague George Kent in his capacity as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State.
