Batkivshchyna spent UAH 25 mln on advertising activity over three months

The Batkivshchyna All-Ukrainian Union spent more than UAH 25 million on advertising and media activities in the second quarter of 2018, which is 206 times more than in the previous reporting period.

Natalia Korchak, a member of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, stated this when representing results of the analysis of political parties’ reports, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The Batkivshchyna Party has become very active in financing such activities. Maybe, this was due to the program represented by Tymoshenko," Korchak said.

Thus, Batkivshchyna spent UAH 25,184,323.70 in the second quarter of 2018, while in the first quarter, it spent UAH 122,168.19.

Expenditures of the Opposition Bloc have also grown. In the first quarter of 2018, expenditures on propaganda activities (advertising, publishing, printing) amounted to UAH 636,214.61, and UAH 6,859,810.55 in the second quarter of 2018.

The Samopomich Association spent UAH 3,355,655.51 on these activities in the first quarter of 2018, and UAH 6,624,656.50 in the second quarter of 2018; the Radical Party of Oleh Liashko spent UAH 548,347.57 in the first quarter and UAH 6,518,993.99 in the second quarter, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc “Solidarity” - UAH 2,901,463.95 in the first quarter and UAH 3,452,068.14 in the second quarter, and the People’s Front Party has not submitted its financial report over the first quarter, while in the second quarter, the party said it spent UAH 999,599.20 on propaganda activities.
