President signs document introducing martial law in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a law approving his decree on the introduction of martial law in Ukraine.

Presidential press secretary Svyatoslav Tsegolko wrote this on his Twitter page.

"President Poroshenko has signed a law approving the decree on the introduction of martial law in Ukraine," Tsegolko wrote.

As reported, on November 26, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law approving the presidential decree on the introduction of martial law in Ukraine for 30 days in ten regions of the country due to Russian aggression in the Sea of Azov.

On November 25, Russian border ships committed aggressive actions against Ukrainian vessels that set sail from the port of Odesa to the port of Mariupol in the Sea of Azov. Russian special forces fired on and captured three Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait.

There were over 20 sailors on board the ships, and six of them were wounded.
