Poroshenko gets personal message from Japanese prime minister

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has received a personal message from Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The message confirms support for Ukraine's sovereignty and readiness for further interaction in solving important issues put on the regional and international agenda, the press service of the head of state reported.

"Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko received a personal message from Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, which commends Ukraine's efforts to combat internal and external challenges and threats," the report said.

It notes that maintaining close relations with Ukraine, Japan is also actively supporting its reform efforts. 

The Japanese prime minister also reaffirmed Japan's unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
