Ukrainian foreign minister to visit U.S. on Nov 14-16

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin will be on a working visit to Washington on November 14-16 to participate in a meeting of the updated format of the U.S.-Ukraine Strategic Partnership Commission, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

"The main purpose of the visit is to hold an inaugural meeting of the U.S.-Ukraine Strategic Partnership Commission on November 16. The event will be co-chaired by the foreign policy chiefs of Ukraine and the United States," the statement said.

The ministry said that Klimkin's visit to Washington also envisages talks with U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, meetings with leading U.S. lawmakers and communication with American experts.

Klimkin told journalists on Monday, November 12, that the U.S.-Ukraine Strategic Partnership Commission would consider political, security, legal and economic cooperation at a meeting in Washington on November 16.
