Council of Europe, except for Russia, condemns fake elections in occupied Donbas – Kuleba

Member states of the Council of Europe, except for Russia, recognized the holding of the so-called elections in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions as gross violations of the Minsk agreements.

“On the instructions of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, we initiated and already held a discussion on the fake elections in the occupied Donbas during a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. Complete non-recognition of this flagrant violation of the Minsk agreements by the member states. Support for Ukraine. Russia's isolation,” Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

As reported, pro-Russian militants in Donbas held the so-called "elections" in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions on November 11.

The United States, the European Union and other countries of the world condemned the holding of these “elections” immediately after their completion and called them illegitimate.
