Sumy region may become first smart region in Ukraine – governor

Chairman of the Sumy Regional State Administration Mykola Klochko has said that the region in the near future may become the first “smart region” in Ukraine.

He stated this during the training held for officials and representatives of the local self-government, following the signing of a Memorandum with the USAID project “Support of Organizations for Fight Against Corruption in Ukraine”.

"Sumy region is moving forward in the wake of state reforms initiated by the President of Ukraine and the government; therefore, it is very important today to improve the communication ability of our activities. That is why we signed the Memorandum with the USAID project! We are interested in the concept of ‘Smart City,” which is being actively implemented in many cities of Ukraine,” he said.
