Groysman: District administration heads preventing decentralization will be dismissed

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said he will initiate the dismissal of heads of district state administrations if they hinder the process of decentralization.

"I’m calling on all deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, if there are cases when heads of district state administrations interfere in the process of decentralization, submit the list. The government will make a decision, and we will file the relevant document to the President to dismiss such heads of district state administrations," Groysman said during Government Question Hour meeting, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Groysman stressed that he would not deviate from the launched decentralization reform and will support amendments to the Constitution, which would finally stipulate the right of communities to unite and define the development of territories.
