CoE, EU to present results of joint projects for Ukraine

The Council of Europe and the European Union will present the results of joint projects for Ukraine, which were implemented in 2015-2018.

According to the Office of the Council of Europe in Ukraine, the event will be held in Kyiv on November 8, 2018.

“Six projects implemented in Ukraine under the Partnership for Good Governance programme in 2015–2018 were aimed at strengthening the human rights standards, protecting the rights of national minorities, supporting reforms in the penal system, media freedom, fighting corruption and ensuring free and fair elections,” the Council of Europe noted.

The total budget of these projects is EUR 4.4 million. The projects are funded by the EU and the Council of Europe and implemented by the CoE.

In addition to these national projects, Ukraine also participates in the implementation of 14 regional initiatives covering all Eastern Partnership countries.
