Kyiv Mayor Klitschko to attend EPP congress in Finland

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko will visit Helsinki (Finland) on November 6-8 to attend the 25th Congress of the European People's Party (EPP), according to the website of the Kyiv City State Administration.

"Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko will attend the 25th Congress of the European People's Party, which will be held in the capital of Finland, Helsinki, on November 6-8," reads the report.

According to the Kyiv City State Administration, this year's EPP Congress in Helsinki will focus on preparations for the 2019 European elections and the election of the EPP’s lead candidate.

Also, Kyiv Mayor Klitschko will participate in the panel discussion “Foreign Trade Portal Bavaria-Ukraine" in the German city of Passau on November 9.

The European People's Party is a European political party, founded in 1976. The EPP consistently supports Ukraine’s movement to Europe and sanctions against the Russian Federation. Also, the EPP supported the introduction of a visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU.
