Ukraine interested in developing digital single market with EU - Klympush-Tsintsadze

Vice Prime Minister for European Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze has said that the development of digital single market between Ukraine and the European Union will be beneficial for both sides.

"For us, the digital economy is important. We are interested in digital single market with the European Union," she said at the annual conference of the Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Klympush-Tsintsadze, Ukraine manages to gradually move forward towards the harmonization of digital markets. Ukraine as part of the Eastern Partnership continues to maintain a leading position on cooperation and harmonization of tariffs for international roaming both with the countries of the Eastern Partnership and with the countries of the European Union.

She stressed that the development of digital single market is beneficial for the Eastern Partnership countries, as well as the European Union, since it will help all parties to gain new opportunities in digital technologies and give new impetus to economic development, modernization of infrastructure and promote overall development of trade.
