Groysman: VR tomorrow to consider draft state budget for 2019 at first reading

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that the Verkhovna Rada will consider the draft law on the state budget for 2019 at first reading on Thursday, October 18.

"Tomorrow the Verkhovna Rada will consider the state budget for 2019 at first reading. We submitted the draft budget on time. It is absolutely realistic. It will give confidence in the economic growth in 2019,” said Groysman at a government meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, all the programs launched in 2018 will be continued next year.

"This budget will provide stability, no more than 7.4% of inflation, which will ensure a clear understanding of the economic growth, the average salary increase in Ukraine,” Groysman added.

He also reminded that among the tasks for the next year is carrying out peak payments on external public debt.

“The large external public debt in Ukraine is among the challenges that require solution. About $50 billion debt was formed from 2005 to 2013. Our task today is economic development, stability, responsibility," Groysman stressed.
