Lawmakers of Ukraine and Montenegro interested in active bilateral dialogue

The members of parliaments of Ukraine and Montenegro are interested in active bilateral dialogue, which will promote the expansion of economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries.

"During the visit, the Ukrainian delegation met with President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Ivan Brajović and members of the friendship group with the Parliament of Ukraine, headed by Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Genci Nimanbegu... The parties agreed on the need to continue an active bilateral dialogue at the parliamentary level, which will further promote the expansion of economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Ukraine and Montenegro," the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro reports, following the official visit of members of the Ukraine-Montenegro friendship parliamentary group to Montenegro.

As noted, ​​ the parties pointed to the similarity of common foreign policy priorities of the two countries.

Ukrainian MP Andriy Shypko, the head of the Ukrainian delegation, on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Montenegro for its unwavering support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine and joining the EU sanctions against Russia.
