Foreign ministers of Ukraine and Moldova discuss liberation of Donbas and Transnistria

Ukraine and Moldova will continue to make efforts for the liberation of Donbas and Transnistria from Russia's presence both in bilateral relations and on international platforms.

"We discussed a wide range of issues, focusing on the common challenges of protecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty and, I am sure of this, a common European future. Both countries suffer from Russian aggression and Russian presence. We are making consistent efforts on all the international platforms for sake of the liberation of Donbas and Transnistria from Russia's presence. We agreed to continue to cooperate and support each other," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said at the briefing following the talks with his Moldovan counterpart Tudor Ulianovschi, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Klimkin thanked his colleague for the continued participation of Moldova in the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Donbas and for assistance in the treatment of Ukrainian military personnel.

The parties also discussed the issues of economic cooperation, cooperation within the framework of international organizations, regional security, the prospects of the Transnistrian conflict settlement and coordination of actions on the path of European integration.
