Poroshenko, Groysman to speak at YES meeting in Kyiv

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will deliver a speech at the opening of the plenary sessions of the annual meeting of Yalta European Strategy (YES), which will be held at the Mystetsky Arsenal in Kyiv on September 13-15, according to the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

The first day of the conference will begin with a discussion of the "comprehensive picture" of the future and its vision by various experts. Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, European Commission Vice-President responsible for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union Valdis Dombrovskis, 66th U.S. Secretary of State (2005-2009) Condoleezza Rice, as well as former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will take part in the panel discussions.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman will close the second day of the plenary sessions of the YES meeting with his speech about challenges to Ukraine's reforms and economic development. On this day, the meeting participants will discuss issues of the economy, politics and security of Eastern Europe and Eurasia. They will pay attention to the future of Ukraine and the fate of the Minsk agreements in the broad context of long-term prospects of the Eastern European region, the problem of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in the context of the interests of Ukraine and Europe, as well as Russia's future after Putin. A separate session will focus on investment and combating poverty.

In total, more than 400 leading politicians, diplomats, businessmen, civic activists and experts from 28 countries will take part in a conference organized by the YES forum in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
