‘Elections’ in occupied Donbas contradict Minsk agreements - French Foreign Ministry

So-called "elections" in the occupied Donbas contradict the Minsk agreements and do not comply with the legislation of Ukraine.

This was stated in a statement by the French Foreign Ministry.

"France reaffirms its commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. The announcement of holding "elections" in the so-called "Luhansk People's Republic" and "Donetsk People's Republic" on November 11, 2018 runs contrary to the Minsk agreements, which remain the only basis for a political settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine," the statement reads.
