OSCE: Parties reaffirm commitment to Minsk agreements

Participants of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbas reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the TCG, Ambassador Martin Sajdik, told this to journalists, BELTA reported.

"All members of the TCG reaffirmed their full commitment to the Minsk agreements," he said.

The ambassador also said that the summer of 2018 was the calmest since the beginning of the conflict.

The observers recorded a decrease in the number of casualties among civilians.

As a reminder, the speaker of the State Duma of Russia said that the murder of leader of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” Alexander Zakharchenko in the occupied Donetsk "nullified" the force of the Minsk agreements.
