Ukraine’s Security Service reveals Russia's preparations for interference in upcoming presidential elections

The officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Dnipropetrovsk region have exposed and blocked the network of online agitators, whom Russian special services involved in the preparations for interference in upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine.

"The officers of Ukraine’s Security Service revealed that Russian special services had involved the administrators of social media groups from Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol cities in ‘cooperation’ through the Internet. The special services of the Russian Federation set the task of preparing a ‘bridgehead’ for the pre-planned measures to influence the course of upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine by manipulating the opinion of Internet users," the SBU press center reports.

As noted, the representatives of the aggressor country aimed to find the bloggers and active users of social media groups for publishing political news sent from Russia for monetary reward.
