Chrystia Freeland in Ukraine to meet with country’s leadership and diplomats

Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland in the scope of her working visit to Ukraine will hold meetings with the leadership of the state and heads of some ministries, as well as take part in a plenary meeting of the ХІІІ Meeting of Heads of Foreign Diplomatic Representative Offices in Ukraine.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press service.

“Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland will be on a working visit to Ukraine on August 27-29. The purpose of the visit is to support the Ukrainian-Canadian political dialogue. As expected, the issues of cooperation in the international arena will be discussed, in particular counteracting Russian aggression and further strengthening of a special partnership," reads the report.

According to the Foreign Ministry, talks and a joint press conference of the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Canada are expected to take place on August 28, as well as meetings with the leadership of the state and heads of some ministries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada will also take part in the plenary meeting of the XIII Meeting of Heads of Foreign Diplomatic Missions of Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, as part of the European tour, Chrystia Freeland will also visit Germany and France, where she will also deliver a speech.
