Foreign Ministry and Ruslana sign Memorandum on promoting ‘green’ energy

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Office of Ambassador of Renewable Energy Ruslana Lyzhychko have signed a Memorandum on Cooperation in the Field of Promotion of Renewable Energy, the ministry’s press service reports.

“The Memorandum is aimed at facilitating the development of "green" energy in our country, the attraction of foreign investments, the integration of Ukraine into international projects, and the use of new technologies and developments in this area,” reads the report.

Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said he hopes that joint efforts of the MFA and Ruslana Lyzhychko as Ambassador of Renewable Energy “will contribute to fully tapping the potential of alternative energy in Ukraine, and to expanding international cooperation in the field of green economy”.

The signing ceremony was also attended by President of the Energy Watch Group Hans-Josef Fell, who told about plans to sign a similar Memorandum with the Office of the Ambassador of Renewable Energy.
