Ambassador Yatsenkivskyi in Vilnius discusses prospects for Ukraine’s joining NATO ENSEC COE

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi and leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania discussed prospects for Ukraine’s joining the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence.

“In the framework of event on the occasion of the handover of command from Colonel Gintaras Bagdonas to Colonel Romualdas Petkevičius, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania had separate conversations with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania regarding the perspectives of the joining of Ukraine to the NATO ENSEC COE and future cooperation in the energy sphere,” reads the report.

The Embassy reported that the ceremony of handover of command of the NATO Energy Security Center of Excellence took place in Vilnius on August 14.

As reported, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze while being on an official visit to Lithuania in April stated that Ukraine intends to join NATO Energy Security Center of Excellence by the end of the year.
