Moldova interested in opening consulate in Kharkiv
The opening of an honorary consulate of the Republic of Moldova in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv will promote the establishment of direct trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian contacts.
This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova upon the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Moldova to Ukraine Ruslan Bolbocean with the leadership of Kharkiv region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports from Moldova.
"During the meetings with the leadership of Kharkiv region, the issues of interregional cooperation, deepening of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties were discussed. In this regard, the parties expressed mutual interest in opening an honorary consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Kharkiv," the statement reads.
The possibility of launching a new railway route Chisinau-Kharkiv was also considered.
