Ukraine feels Canada's support in countering Russian aggression, conducting reform - Groysman

Ukraine feels strong support from Canada in restoring territorial integrity, repelling Russian aggression and conducting domestic reform.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman wrote this on his Facebook page after meeting with Canadian Minister of International Development and La Francophonie Marie-Claude Bibeau in Kyiv on Thursday.

"Canada occupies a special place for Ukraine. We are linked by a long history and warm friendship. In such a difficult time for Ukraine, we feel Canada's firm assistance in restoring our territorial integrity and repelling Russia's aggression. Canada's support for Ukraine's internal reforms is also important to us," Groysman said.

In this context, he recalled that since 2014, Canada has announced the implementation of more than 60 projects in Ukraine worth more than 400 million Canadian dollars.

Groysman also thanked Canada for its readiness to host the next international conference on reform in Ukraine.

Bibeau will be on a visit to Ukraine until July 23.
