Minister Saienko meets with Georgian PM Bakhtadze

Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleksandr Saienko and newly appointed Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze have discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and the possibility of trips between the two countries using internal passports, the Ukrainian government’s portal reports.

"Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleksandr Saienko, while being on an official visit to Georgia on July 17, met with newly appointed Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze. Oleksandr Saienko congratulated the Prime Minister of Georgia on his appointment and the formation of a new government," reads the report.

Also, the parties discussed the possibility of mutual trips for citizens of Ukraine and Georgia between the two countries using internal passports. According to the government’s press service, the Georgian Prime Minister said the government intends to accelerate the required procedures that would allow opening up the possibility for mutual trips.

In addition, Saienko on behalf of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman invited the new head of the Georgian government to make an official visit to Ukraine this autumn.
