Ukrainian diplomats developing new resolution on Crimea for next UN General Assembly session

President Petro Poroshenko says that Ukrainian diplomats are developing for the next session of the UN General Assembly a new resolution regarding the illegal annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.

He stated this during the Svoboda Slova talk show on ICTV Channel on Monday evening, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I instructed our diplomats to draft a new resolution on Crimea for the next session of the United Nations General Assembly so that to stop any insinuations, any speculation about the status of Crimea," he said.

President Poroshenko also reminded that the UN General Assembly had twice supported the Ukrainian position, including the violation of Crimean Tatars' rights in Crimea. "And I have no doubt that our work on this issue will also be efficient," Poroshenko added.
