Russian aggression in Ukraine already taken 10,000 lives – president

For four years Russian aggression in Ukraine has claimed 10,000 lives and caused economic damage of 100 billion euros.

"It is the 4th summit where we discuss Russian aggression against Ukraine, which has already taken 10,000 lives and brought economic losses of 100 bln EUR," President Petro Poroshenko wrote on Twitter.

The president also noted the importance of closing the uncontrolled part of the Ukrainian border with the aggressor state and ensuring the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

As Ukrinform reported, the 20th EU-Ukraine Summit took place in Brussels (Belgium) on Monday, July 9. The summit was dedicated to discussing the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, including the establishment of a deep and comprehensive free trade area, and prospects for further deepening Ukraine's sectoral integration in the areas of digital market, energy union, customs, justice and home affairs.
