Freeland: Canada interested in cooperation with Ukraine

Canada is interested in expanding cooperation with Ukraine.

"Canada is eager to continue working with Ukraine, building on our strong partnership, including by hosting the Ukraine Reform Conference in 2019,” Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland wrote on Twitter.

Freeland took part in the Ukraine Reform Conference 2018, which was held on Wednesday in Copenhagen. The conference aimed to familiarize the international partners with the achievements of Ukraine in implementing systemic reforms, as well as to identify further areas for cooperation and practical assistance to Ukraine along this path. The next Ukraine Reform Conference will be held in 2019 in Canada.

“The 2019 conference will bring together foreign ministers from the European Union, the G7 and NATO countries to support Ukraine in ongoing democratic and economic reforms. Canada is firmly committed to working with the international community to support Ukraine and work toward a secure, sovereign and prosperous future for the people of Ukraine,” reads the news release of the Global Affairs Canada.
