Chisinau thanks Ukraine for supporting UN resolution on Transnistria

Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip has thanked international partners for supporting the resolution of the UN General Assembly on the withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria.

He stated this at a briefing in Chisinau, own Ukrinform correspondent in Moldova reports.

"I would like to express special gratitude to Ukraine, Georgia, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Canada and other international partners of Moldova, who supported the resolution of the UN General Assembly. We are realists and we understand that the adoption of the resolution does not mean the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from our country, but it is encouraging that this issue is again on the agenda of the international community and we will consistently promote this initiative until the last Russian soldier leaves the territory of Moldova," said Pavel Filip.
