Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova plans on June 23 to visit the chief of the RIA Novosti Ukraine news agency, Kyrylo Vyshynsky, who was arrested in Ukraine on charges of high treason.

Hromadske reported this with reference to the website of the Russian human rights commissioner.

It is noted that Moskalkova wrote a letter to Ukrainian Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisova.

"In the framework of the agreement on observance of the parity principle, I plan to visit on June 23, 2018 the citizen of the Russian Federation, Kyrylo Vyshynsky, born in 1967, kept at the detention center in the city of Kherson," she wrote in the letter.

Moskalkova also expressed gratitude to Denisova "for the intention to take measures for his transfer from Kherson to Kyiv."

As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian and Russian human rights commissioners agreed during the meeting on June 18 to visit Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov in the Russian colony and journalist Kyrylo Vyshynsky in Kherson. However, on June 19, Denisova was not able to visit Sentsov.
