Cabinet approves candidacy of Oleksandr Kuts for Donetsk Regional Administration Head – Zhebrivsky

The Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, June 20, approved the candidacy of General of the State Security Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Kuts for the post of Chairman of Donetsk Regional Military and Civil Administration.

Former Head of the Administration, an auditor of the Anti-Corruption Bureau Pavlo Zhebrivsky said this on TV Channel 5.

“Today the Cabinet has approved SBU General Kuts for this post. I believe that soon the President will consider this candidacy and issue a decree,” Zhebrivsky said.

Previously, Kuts was the head of the SBU department in Donetsk region. In August 2017, President Petro Poroshenko appointed him the head of the SBU department in Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

As reported, on June 11, Zhebrivsky filed a letter of resignation. On June 13, President Poroshenko signed a decree to dismiss Pavlo Zhebrivsky from the post of chairman of Donetsk Regional Military and Civil Administration.

On June 13, Poroshenko appointed Pavlo Zhebrivsky an auditor of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
