Latvian foreign minister goes on working visit to Ukraine

Foreign Minister of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs will be on a working visit to Ukraine on June 20.

This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.

"The purpose of his visit is to continue an active dialogue at the interstate level regarding practical involvement of the Latvian potential in the process of introducing reforms in our country, supporting the European integration aspirations of Ukraine, creating an enabling environment for the development of bilateral trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, as well as consolidating international efforts in countering Russian aggression," the statement reads.

The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Latvia will hold talks, during which the main attention will be paid to further common steps aimed at restoring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state.

Klimkin and Rinkēvičs will also discuss issues of sectoral bilateral cooperation.
