Cavusoglu: Turkey will continue to raise issue of Crimea at all platforms

Turkey intends to continue to touch upon the issue of Crimea at all the international platforms.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said this in Ankara, where he and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin participated in the iftar (the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset), the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports.

"The Turkish Foreign Minister, noting the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Turkey, confirmed the unshakable support of the Republic of Turkey for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine as well as the intention to continue to raise the issue of Crimea at all the international platforms," the statement reads.

In turn, Klimkin noted that joint participation in iftar started a new format of interaction and also demonstrated that the partnership between Ukraine and Turkey is built not only on respect for mutual interests but also on sharing the universal values.

Ukraine is a multinational state and Muslims are the integral part of the Ukrainian people, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said.
