Prince Alois: Liechtenstein will support Ukraine in UN and OSCE

The Principality of Liechtenstein will support Ukraine in its cooperation with the UN and the OSCE and will make every effort to find the ways to settle the conflict in Donbas peacefully as soon as possible.

Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein Alois said this at a joint briefing with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We will support cooperation with UN and OSCE at the international and bilateral level," Prince Alois said.

He noted that during negotiations with President Poroshenko he had expressed concern about the situation in eastern Ukraine as well as hope that the way to settle the conflict peacefully could be found quickly.

"We are a small state, of course, we have limited capacities and we can provide only limited assistance, but we will do everything in our power," Prince Alois promised.

Liechtenstein is also ready to assist Ukraine in carrying out reforms, the Prince noted.

Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein Alois currently pays an official visit to Ukraine.

This is the first visit of the high-level representative of Liechtenstein to Ukraine since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states.
