Duda: There would be no separatists in Donbas without Russia’s backing

President of Poland Andrzej Duda believes that there would be no separatists in Donbas without Russia’s backing.

"Everyone in the world understands perfectly well that there would be no separatists without constant support from Russia," Duda said during a joint press conference with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

It is necessary to hold talks precisely with Russia on the end of conflict in eastern Ukraine, the restoration of peace and the resumption of Ukraine-Russia border, which is recognized by the international community, Duda stressed.

The Polish president also noted that he supported the idea of deploying UN peacekeeping forces throughout the militant-controlled territory.
