Canada, Estonia jointly support Ukraine – Trudeau

Canada and Estonia help to deter Russia's aggression by their active presence in Ukraine.

Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau said this during a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Estonia Jüri Ratas, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We are very close with Estonia in its approach towards Russia. We are sure that we help Ukraine, by our presence in this country, to oppose the illegal invasion and occupation of Crimea, as well as interference in Donbas," Trudeau said.

Trudeau and Ratas underlined their shared commitment to NATO and to maintaining security and stability in Central and Eastern Europe. They also highlighted the importance of working together to promote gender equality, protect the rules-based international order, and build economies that work for everyone.
