Parubiy thanks Estonia for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy and President of the Republic of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid held a meeting in Kyiv on May 22, the Ukrainian parliament’s website reports.

The speaker thanked Estonia for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, solidarity in resolving the conflict in Donbas, as well as for supporting a joint letter of protest against the Nord Stream-2 construction.

"We are very grateful for the humanitarian, financial and technical assistance provided by Estonia, the treatment of Ukrainian servicepersons," Parubiy said.

He also informed about the security situation in Donbas and noted that it "remains extremely tense, which requires consolidated actions”.

Also, Parubiy reported on the progress of reforms and positive changes taking place in Ukraine against the background of military operations in Donbas.

Kaljulaid, in turn, noted recent achievements of Ukraine but stressed that reforms should not be procrastinated.

The sides also stated about their readiness "to do everything to strengthen ties, overcome manifestations of the hybrid war, in particular in the economy, energy, information sphere".
