Parliament to consider bill on Anti-Corruption Court this week

The Bloc of Petro Poroshenko (BPP) faction in parliament emphasizes that the law on the High Anti-Corruption Court must comply with the Constitution, and its clauses cannot restrict state sovereignty.

The chairman of the BPP faction, Artur Herasymov, said this at a meeting of the conciliatory council on Monday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Despite the opposition of skeptics, the position of the Ukrainian president has won. The Anti-Corruption Court will be created, and the law on it will not contradict the Constitution and limit our sovereignty," he said.

Herasymov stressed that the respective law should be considered in the session hall during the current plenary week. He also added that most of the disputed clauses of the bill had been agreed on.
