Groysman to take part in parliamentary elections in 2019

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that he intends to take part in the elections for the Verkhovna Rada and bring to power the people devoted to the state.

He said this at a meeting with representatives of regional media outlets, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"I want to fight for Ukraine, and I will participate in the next parliamentary elections. I want to bring with me loyal people who will change Ukraine with concrete decisions and steps," Groysman said.

At the same time, he stressed that there are no grounds for holding early elections.

As Ukrinform reported, the head of government has already announced his intention to participate in the next parliamentary elections in 2019.

However, Groysman did not specify whether he would run individually or as part of a political party. Later he stated that he did not plan to join any political force.
